This year saw the inauguration of the Da Ponte Opera Festival, which brought a significant cultural and artistic experience to the city of Vittorio Veneto, celebrating the legacy of Lorenzo Da Ponte through operas and initiatives dedicated to the training of new opera talents. Roberto Fantinel participated as head of the orchestra, contributing to the performance of the new production of Così Fan Tutte, also in the role of violinist.
A Festival Edition dedicated to training and Opera
This year’s Festival programme, under the artistic direction of Maestro Andrew Foan, included two important masterclasses for young opera singers from all over the world, offering them the opportunity to perfect their skills under the guidance of renowned experts and artists. At the heart of the event was the new production of Così Fan Tutte, always directed by Maestro Andrew Foan. This playful drama in two acts, set to Lorenzo Da Ponte’s libretto, give the public an unforgettable performance of Mozart’s famous opera.
The opera explores the intriguing challenge between love and deception, orchestrated by the character Don Alfonso, who tests the loyalty of sisters Fiordiligi and Dorabella to their beloved Guglielmo and Ferrando.
