Buskers Festival Rome 2024
A Success at the Rome Buskers Festival 2024: Orchestra SiO and Roberto Fantinel Captivate Rome’s Tourist Port
With the closure of the fifth edition of the Roma Buskers Festival, the Porto Turistico of Rome said goodbye to one of the most eagerly awaited events of the summer, consolidated as a vibrant stage for street artists and shows of the highest level. This year again, the Festival—conceived and organized by Andrea Cicini and Gruppo Matches srl in collaboration with the committees of Municipio X—offered the public moments of intense artistic magic, attracting visitors from all over the Roman coast and beyond.
The young Orchestra SiO and Maestro Roberto Fantinel opened the main stage on the evenings of 5 and 6 July, offering a performance that combined elegance and musical depth. With a repertoire that ranges from classical pieces to contemporary arrangements, Orchestra SiO was able to involve and move the audience, turning the evening into a memorable experience.
A Triumph of Art and Community Engagement
The Roma Buskers Festival 2024 was not only a show, but also a moment of community and solidarity. Thanks to the support of associations such as ‘Una Breccia nel Muro’ (A breach in the wall) and the collaboration with ‘Ostia Clean Up’, the Festival confirmed its commitment to the territory, promoting solidarity and sustainable initiatives. The event took place in a totally inclusive and accessible area, with free admission that made it possible for anyone to enjoy the numerous performances and activities on offer.
An Edition that promises a Future of Art and Synergy
For all of us in the SiO Orchestra, our participation in the Rome Buskers Festival was a precious opportunity to share the beauty of music with a large audience and to be part of an event that promotes free art and a strong connection with the territory. It was an extraordinary experience that we hope to repeat in future editions, contributing once again to bringing the magic of symphonic music into an urban context, making it accessible to everyone, and creating a unique dialogue between classical music and city life.
