Discover the modernity hidden in classical operas and their ability to still speak to our time.

Opera is far from outdated. It continues to evolve, to reflect society and to connect people through its beauty and emotional depth. Its relevance lies in its ability to adapt to and resonate with human experiences, making it an ever-living and significant art form.

1. Affective Neuroscience:


Operas often explore human identity and relationships, addressing issues of belonging, discrimination, and love, themes that are still highly relevant in today’s society.

2. Biography of the Author:


The historical evolution of opera and its main composers.

3. The Author’s compositions:


A discussion of some operas that beautifully explore the “humane passions.”

4. Listening and Explanation of the pieces:


Active listening of arias and opera pieces, with reflections on their contextualization and meaning today.

5. Final Discussion:


A shared reflection on the relevance of opera and its cultural relevance.

Participation and registration

Admission is free, and the meeting will be held in the Aula Magna of the San Francesco campus in Conegliano, via Edmondo de Amicis 4.
